  7. The IPS 1100 series is a UL listed 1000 watt UPS designed to protect
  8. minicomputers, microcomputers, fileservers, workstations, and other equipment
  9. which must continue to receive AC power during a blackout or brownout. The
  10. equipment is also protected against spikes and noise which can cause hardware
  11. damage and data loss. The IPS 1100 has a communication interface that can
  12. signal the computer when there is power failure. Elgar's UniSafe software
  13. interprets this signal and provides auto shutdown capabilities.
